In less than a month, the last season of True Blood premieres. I’m here to let you all know that there are many more shows airing this summer that are way better. Good shows too. Shows that wouldn’t just kill one of their main and most beloved characters in the last seconds of the Season Six Finale. Shows that would give such a beloved character a final episode worthy of the talents portrayed by the incomparable Alexander Skarsgard. Why is it we got a full episode funeral to a character who never found his place on the show and who never had a strong storyline anyone cared about? Yet, Eric dies alone and naked on the top of some fucking mountain! Sure, we finally got the full frontal nudity we all wanted, but it was immediately eclipse by sadness, shock, and anger as he burned up by the sun’s rays. Whatever, fuck it! I DON’T CARE!!!!!!
So, back to the better shows. A few networks are releasing some new episodes of shows we love. Shows that have their characters with the ones they are meant to be with. I mean, how the fuck is Sookie Stackhouse dating Alcide?!?! We get it, he has muscles and can walk around shirtless, good find on that one Hollywood. But she can’t love him. Is it Bill or is it Eric? Is it Bill because Eric burned to death on the top of some fucking mountain? Or is it Bill because Bill will always love her and because there has been a connection between them for years, even before Sookie saved him from attacking anti-vamp activists? Or because Bill risked his life for her time and time again? Or because Bill became a GOD and was still able to keep his humanity because of her? Fuck it! Whatever! I DON’T EVEN CARE!!!
Better shows. There are a lot of better shows coming out- I mean seriously, what do we even expect with Jason, Sam, Tara, Lafayette, or Hoyt? The characters have already been through so G-D much and explored every avenue of death and loss, what’s left for them? I’m not even sure what I want for these characters. None of them have any direction. Is Hoyt gone for good? Why do I want him to return so badly? And why do I still think Tara and Jason are going to end up together? All the characters have all intertwined sexually so often they must all share some kind of STD, right? And what the fuck! They killed Eric! They. Killed. Eric!!!! I mean W. T. F!!!!
Ok, let’s all calm down. The summer is a very exciting time for new TV comin — What monster can they face? They ran out of villains. The Newlins are done, The Authority is gone, Marnie was shitty to begin with, Russel has been stopped a number of times already, and fucking Warlow is dead. The whole series hinted at Warlow, and he’s been defeated!!! What? It’s going to be infected vamps? We are going to see The Walking Dead version of True Blood. Wait… Maybe… Hold on a sec… Walking Dead where something happens? Walking Dead with actual action and characters you might care about? Hmmm….
